I’m trying to open a Pages document on my iPad and I get a message saying the document can’t be copied because I don’t have permission to access com.apple.- But I’m not trying to copy I’m just trying to open the document.

Have you already tried a forced restart of your iPad (since the error you got is "don’t have permission to access com.apple.-", it seems to be related to a bad connection to your iCloud)?
Are you sure that the warning message was exectly the one you reported?

I thought it came from one of your correspondents. Was that doc created by you?
Should be this case, it might be a different problem.
Are you sure you can access your iCloud? I mean, are you using the same Apple ID that was used to create that doc? Where is that doc now? in Files app?
Thanks ProustGiulio! I guess I should have known to start by turning off and rebooting. It seems that solves so many computer glitches. Too bad we can't do that with relationships! Anyway, that worked and I'm very grateful to you. Have a good day.
Perhaps that document is password protected.
If that’s the case, what steps do I take to access it? I don’t remember password protecting any of my pages docs.
Thank you for replying! This doc was created by me on my iPad in Pages. I have it on the iPad and in iCloud, and the doc is not password protected. same apple ID
The only thing I can think of is I installed an upgrade on my iPad and that changed something?
