I am the "Admin" on my iMac. Why can't I delete holidays from my calendar that I don't need listed? Thanks!

Thank you so much for your reply. However, I don't want to remove all holidays from my calendar, only certain ones that don't concern me so they won't take up valuable room in my calendar. Is there a solution for this?
No, it's all or nothing. It's the nature of the beast.
Try the following: Control (right) - click on the US Holidays in the sidebar and select "Unsubscribe" from the contextual menu:
