Im receiving multiple voice mails saying my icloud may be compromised. Is that how I would be notified?

Apple will never "cold call" a customer to inform them that their "icloud has been compromised." Any/All such calls are perpetrated by thieves who are attempting to steal your Apple ID credentials. You can safely ignore any/all of those calls, and block the numbers.
