Apple Watch in repair SCAM

I contacted Apple support to have mail-in repair and they wanted to charge me $350 (over the price of the series 3) to have it in repair. This is a big scam and it's really not fair Apple.

Is your watch out of warranty or is the repair one that wouldn’t be covered under the manufacturer warranty? If so you may be being charged the out of warranty replacement fee which would be correct since you’re not covered. If you don’t have AppleCare+ then your options are the out of warranty fee or buying a new watch.

None of us work for Apple. This is a user forum. If your watch is no longer under warranty (the 1 year one that comes with it) and you don’t have AppleCare+ then yes...you have to pay that amount or opt to buy a new device. It would be an out of warranty service. No company will service an out of warranty product for free. Some won’t service them at all when they are no longer obligated to beyond the warranty period ending. I agree that it’s not cheap (and in the case of your older model I personally would rather put that $350 towards a newer model but that’s just me) but it’s not a shock. No one has ever been able to accuse Apple of charging cheap prices for any of their products. I’m only assuming you are out of warranty or don’t have AppleCare+ due to the amount you’re being asked to pay. It sucks but it’s really not a scam to charge you for an out of warranty service if your watch is indeed out of warranty. You can always call Apple again and speak to a supervisor but don’t get upset if you are rightfully told the same thing. I’m not familiar with how to address the message on your watch but maybe someone else that has had it happen may have tips on something you may be able to do to get it working if that’s possible.

I don’t know if you really took the time to read your message before sending it.

I don’t disagree paying for service if the watch needs repair. But please don’t ask me to pays the over the price of the watch for the repair it doesn’t make sense and that’s why I call it a SCAM. And again I’m telling you my watch was working perfectly until i did the recent update. The fact that you say no one hase accuse Apple for charging unreasonable prices is not true. Do you research and you will find many people saying the singing the same song.
