I deleted a apps icon from my home screen. Phone said it was putting it in inactive? How do I restore the icon? Cannot find the app. If I find it in the App Store the app says open. Not get? Where did it go?

Swipe through your home screens til you get to the App Library.
Find the icon there. Tap and hold until it jiggles.
Drag it leftwards into a home screen.
Continue to drag it to where you want it.
