I want to actually DELETE an app, not merely remove from home screen. There seems to be no way to do this. I have to delete it in order to install an updated version.

Click on the home screen window (not an app) and they will "jiggle".
Click the X and confirm the delete.
Turn of Screen Time and then delete the app and then turn Screen Time back on.

OK so I did something and somehow the actual Delete option came up so I did that. Whew. Thanks. NOW: I have to re-install it from app store but --maybe you can help on this part -- there is only the download option there, not "get." Any thoughts on that? I kind of wanted to actually start over and have an updated version.

I turned off screen time, but still was not able to delete the app, since there seems no way to actually 'delete' it. I've rebooted the phone numerous times also. rrrrrrrr.
"Get" is the same thing as a download.
I only see the little - selection and that only removes from home screen does NOT DELETE, which is what I want to do. I see NO Place to actually delete it! Help!
