Camera won't work with Google Meets

Hi - I have been using my iMac desktop camera with no problem until yesterday. Suddenly, the camera will not work with Google Meets, which is the only way our school district connects with students virtually. I have gone to several "help" sites, cleared caches, restarted, and cannot get it to work. The camera works with all other platforms, such as Zoom and the photo booth on my desktop.

When I clicked on the Apple to set the preferences, the camera is not listed under privacy. Any suggestions?

Hi mamalachance,

Please check the Safari website preferences by going to Safari (in the top left) > Preferences > Websites > Camera / Microphone settings. Look for the Meet website, and change the settings. Also, change the setting of other websites in the bottom right corner to "Ask".

Cheers,

Jack
