what is remoted (93) process running in my MacBook pro in big sur os i am curious its also sending and receiving data

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

The PID (Process ID) is not a fixed number and can change on reboot.


remoted is a daemon that discovers remote devices and services. There are no configuration options to remoted. Users should not run remoted manually, the daemon runs automatically on each reboot.


You can always click open the process and run a sample to get a sense of its activity— if it satisfies any curiosity.
