Zoom app - "network won't connect" on secondary user IDs

Does anyone have experience in fixing a "cant connect, check your network connection' error when starting up the Zoom app?

It works fine on my "user", which is an admin. But it doesn't work on other users on the Mac - e.g. my daughter has one. I don't have any screentime/parental controls on. Zoom on safari and chrome works. No firewall is enabled. I have tried so many different settings and cant get it to work. But if I logoff and switch to my user id - the app works.

Ive uninstalled, reinstalled the latest. I have OS Big Sur and a MacBookpro 2018.

thanks!

Hello pnellenbach,

It looks like you're trying to use Zoom app under your daughter's user account and receiving a connection error. However, when using your user account there is not an issue. Making sure the connection works and she's able to use the Zoom app is important. We're glad you reached out.

For help with the connection settings and using Zoom check out the link below.

We hope this helps. Have a good day!
