Spam text’s from gmail accounts

Anyone know how to block spam iMessages from gmail accounts? I immediately delete and block without clicking link but they just keep sending with new email addresses.

BLOCKING THE CONTACT:

Tap on the number at the very top —> tap ‘INFO’ —> scroll to ‘INFO’ (yes again) —> swipe up until you see ‘BLOCK THIS CALLER’ & select that, select ‘BLOCK CONTACT’ —> go to the top and press the back arrow ‘<‘;  then press ‘DONE

REPORTING:

Press on the message until you the bottom menu appears; —> select ‘MORE’ —> select the right curved arrow on the bottom, DO NOT hit the trash can; —> in the ‘TO:’ address  type  ABUSE@GMAIL.COM —> press the Green Up Arrow inside the message.

DELETING MESSAGE:

You will see a Blue check mark next to the message; Top Left select ‘DELETE ALL

You have blocked all incoming contact from this person and reported them to Google.  This works even if there is no actual phone number shown.

HINTS:

I have created a contact called PHISHING and keep all of the addresses I report to with in it.  That way I don’t have to remember each agency’s reporting info.

Hello TonysApple,

Thanks for asking Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're receiving spam text messages. Blocking them is a great idea. The following guides have additional information on identifying and reporting these. Your carrier may also have some available options too:

Block, filter, and report messages on iPhone

Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams

Thanks again, and have a great day.
