Connection cable

After working very well, The cable connecting the apple device is not working, it starts then fizzled out, says unsupported signal, check device output. If I play with the cable it sometimes connects, then after an a few minutes or an hour it stops again.what do I do.?

It could be either the cable or the port.

Try a different HDMI cable.

Try a different port (on the TV or AV receiver).
