phone showing disabled connect to itunes, have done software update, but problem not resolved , don't want to return to factory settings, don't want to loose data photos etc

phone showing Disabled connect to itunes, phone not syncing to i tunes. Have done software update, by holding down buttons and updating but problem not resolved , phone not syncing to i tunes don't want to return to factory settings, don't want to loose data photos etc and unsure if data etc has been saved on the cloud

If your phone is disabled, it is too late to save any data. You need to restore it and then reload your most recent backup. Start here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204306
