Comcast email Issues

Last week my iPad stopped working with my comcast email account. Yesterday, my iPhone stopped and today, my iMac won't work. I'm using Apple's Mail app.


Nothing has changed. When I click on the icon to connect and enter my password, it says either that I don't have a password (clearly I do) or if I enter my correct password is says that it is "unable to verify account name or password."


I can still log into the web version of my Comcast account and my other email accounts (non-Comcast) work just fine with Mail.


Before I delete them all and add them back in, I thought I would see if anyone else has had this issue.

I don't have the issue, but that seems to be a reasonable course of action.

I tried deleting the account on my iPhone and then adding it back in. After adding all the info, including the password, I got a message that said, "No password provided for "Comcast." Please go to Mail Account Settings and enter a password.


I tried sending a message anyway and it said it can't because there is no password. Trust me... there is a password.

Yep, I've added the password several times. If it was the wrong password, I'm sure I would get a message to that effect. To say there is no password is just odd. Also odd is the fact that everything worked just fine and then it quit on all three devices but not at the same time. I know the password works because that's what I use with webmail.


Thanks for the help... this one is a bit confusing. I can't even blame any kind of OS update error since things worked fine after the latest updates.
