How do I save my contacts in an excel doc?

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. It looks like you may be interested in exporting your iCloud contacts before you transition to a new phone. If this is the case, you can export all of your contacts into a vCard using the iCloud website. 

Export a contact as a vCard on iCloud.com - Apple Support

Then you may be able to find instructions for importing the .vcf file into Excel on the Microsoft Excel support page.
