Scratch that, the iPhone 8 is Wireless (Qi) compatible but it is not MagSafe compatible. While you can use that adapter with your iPhone placement will be critical and it will charge slower than any Qi compatible wireless charger. Buy a good Qi charger if you want to go wireless.
