How do I skip back 5/30 seconds in itunes?

The only way I can find to do this is to use the Remote app on iPad/iPhone - there you can skip fwd and back just like you can in iPhone/iPad Podcasts app.

On my Mac, using the keyboard commands to skip doesn't work well as there is quite a lag between key press and response.

Is there a better way?

Hey Thunderclutch,

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities! We understand that you're wanting to know of a different way to rewind or fast-forward a song. Other than using the keys command-option and right or left arrow to move 5 seconds ahead or back, you can also drag the slider to where you want it. See the image of the slider in the mini-player in the following guide, if needed: Use Music MiniPlayer on Mac

We also thought you might find the Apple Music User Guide helpful. It can be found here: Apple Music User Guide

Thanks again, and have a wonderful day!

Unlike the player (the “now playing” window) in the Remote app, the mini player window does not have skip forward 30s or skip back 30s buttons.

Yes there is a slider in both the mini player and iTunes itself, but I challenge you to move that 30s fwd in say a 50 minute podcast. It’s just not practical for that task.

BTW I am talking about iTunes in Mojave.
