Since the Big Sur update I cannot unlock preferences to make changes with my Administrator username and password.

What do I need to do to unlock preferences to make changes? Since the Big Sur update on my MacBook Air my administrator username and password do not work.

Hi SuzOC,

If you're running macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 or 11.1, check System Preferences -> Software Update. The macOS Big Sur 11.2 update is supposed to fix this issue.
