Downloading older version of an app on IPad with 12.5.1. It shows in Purchase History but not in Purchased Apps.

Downloading older version of IReal Pro on IPad with 12.5.1. I purchased it using my account on my daughters MacBook and it shows in my Purchase History but not in Purchased Apps. I was told by IReal Pro's support that once I purchased it I'd be able to download and older version.

Thanks

iPad Air, iOS 12

Hi RKane7,

We understand you have questions about downloading an application. We're happy to help.

When you download something from the App Store, there is no way to choose a version it downloads. The App Store will just contain one version (whichever one the app developer released last) to download.

To download something you have already purchased, just go in to the App Store, search for that application then click the cloud icon to download it. You can also access it by selecting the profile icon at the top of the App Store then select Purchased, then choose the Not on this device tab.

Redownload apps and games from Apple

We hope this helps. Take care!

Hi RKane7,

Thanks for the follow up details.

So if the application requires a newer version of iOS software than you're currently running to be compatible, that would be why it doesn't show up under the "Not on this device" tab. That tab will only show applications that are compatible with your device and software version.

Now if you're using an older model iPad that can no longer be updated, unfortunately there isn't a way to make that application work with it. If the application requires iOS 13 or newer, it will only work on devices that are running iOS 13 or newer software.

We hope that helps to clarify the reason it's not showing up.

Cheers!

Unfortunately the problem is that the app shows in the Purchase History but never gets moved to the Purchased - Not on this Device. The problem is that the current version of the app requires iOS 13 and my IPad only supports 12. From what I was told once the app appears in the Purchased - Not on this Device I'd be able to dowload an older version.

Thanks
