iPhone won’t have any sound


Hi i am using my phone (iphone 6s) and randomly my phone won’t have any sound. I’m not connected to anything but it show I am.

when i am making a call on speaker the sound is coming but if i use other apps like youtube the sound doesn’t come.

and its showing that sound is connected to iphone with a symbol of headphone.

Hi, I'd be happy to provide some insight!


The problem may be that you are air playing to a speaker and are unaware. If you have a homepod, make sure it's unplugged then try to play music. If that isn't the case do this:

  • check to see if you are connected to anything via Bluetooth
  • turn Bluetooth off
  • make sure the silent switch on the side of your iPhone is switched up (towards your phone screen)

Now try to play sound again. I hope this fixes your issue!
