Apple Watch LTE

Do i need a smart phone to use the apple watch LTE? or can i just buy it and use it standalone since i read is able to receive and make calls without a phone.

If i need a smartphone - does it have to be Iphone?

Where can i get a complete list of compatible Iphones with Apple Watch LTE?

Where can i get a complete list of compatible Non-Iphones with Apple Watch LTE?

An apple watch won't work with anything except an iphone.

And to make and receive calls it has to be paired to an iphone because it uses the iphones number to make the calls.

An apple watch is NOT a stand alone device.
