Hi there, I use the power button and volume down to turn off, I just use the power button to turn on, but it does not power on, No it is not plugged into anything. When I connect it to my laptop iTunes detects the phone is in recovery mode and restores the phone and does this every time. After the restore is complete the phone restarts but does not come on but iTunes says the phone is recovery mode.

Have you every successfully tried a forced restart to turn it back on instead?

With any case off Press and very quickly release the volume up button. > Immediately press and very quickly release by the volume down button > Immediately press and hold down the side button and keep holding the side button until the Apple logo appears, release the side button.

This is a user-to-user technical support site operated by Apple. We can't know what you have tried unless you describe it in your original post. I take it you also tried restoring from your backup? And you have ample storage space available?

I do apologise, I am new to this and I’m just trying to get some help, I only put this up to see if anyone else had come across the same problem, I am certainly not technically minded so please bear with me, Yes I had successfully restored the phone from my back up, But as soon as I turned it off and tried to turn it on it goes back into dfu mode. Thanks

Why are you using 3u tools? You sound like you are technical minded. iTunes will be correct you are flipping into Recovery mode, not DFU and again this can definitely be caused by a 3rd party battery or damage to the iPhone when they installed it.

You are better off with a genuine battery and their could be damage to the Power Management IC. Your not technologically minded but you are opening an iPhone? Now that you have done that don't bother to contact Apple support. Go back to whoever serviced it.
