A wifi only iPad will not have a SIM slot.

What is the model at: Settings - General - About - Model = ???

Only WiFi AND cellular data model iPads have SIM card trays.

If your iPad is a cheaper, WiFi ONLY iPad, it WILL NOT have a SIM card tray.
