Capitalisation is disabled in text style

I've tried changing the capitalisation style of a cell using the instructions here:

https://support.apple.com/guide/numbers/change-text-capitalization-tandfba1c680/mac (under "Modify Capitalisation).

The problem is - the popup menu is disabled, anyone has an idea of how to enable it?

Can't adjust capitalization settings I'm trying to adjust a large numbers document so everything is the same type of capitalization (first letter of every word). This is what I am seeing and I don't know how to get it where it is able to be edited. As you can see, there is no way for me to click on the capitalization drop-down. Thanks in advance.

You need to select the text first.

After selecting the text you might change the capitalisation style.

That did the trick, I was trying to select the cell.
