Looks like you or someone with your apple ID got tricked into installing it
App store apps are safe but may be a burden on performance.
First, make sure to cancel any subscription using the steps found here: See or cancel your subscriptions
You can then request a refund using this link: Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple

Check App Library or search for it in Control Centre because it should not appear an an update notification if you have not bought it.
This could be a scam message, can you screenshot the update notification?

Widgetsmith is a safe and legitimate app. I use it regularly.
It's free to download, but they do have an upgrade subscription..
an app that appears in your App Store updates doesn't cost you to download an update
Yes that looks like plain spam now you have screenshot it.
Any app you install can offer other products, particularly free ones. That is a reason to get rid, or pay to “remove ads”
One more thing.
Check your Calendar app. Tap on Calendars, Any rogue calendar?
Only place that reliably tells you of breached passwords is Keychain in Settings, Passwords. It’s the only password manager you need.

I haven’t purchased the Widgetsmith app, so not out of any $ yet. Thanks for responding quickly. I tried to follow your instructions but they appear to be set up different as far as tap selections. I couldn’t find the option page for selecting delete or removal of the app.
I mean, I know nothing about this app..
but it appears to be an app that you have several saved passwords stored in (100 or so passwords). Is that accurate?
They are telling you that at least one has been associated with a data breach
They are offering a service to notify you.
Assuming that this is an app you downloaded from the App Store and your device is not jailbroken.. and your screenshots are from within the app itself. I don't see any reason to be concerned. If you want to use their service, then subscribe to it. iF you don't want to, then tap the x and don't subscribe to it
Thank you, it was purchased from the App Store. It has served me well for a couple of years. But this is a new twist, I found no options for finding the breached password. I found nothing on the developers website, you all have been very helpfully.
I found it in the app library and was able to delete it there no it’s not showing up anywhere. Thank you so much for your assistance and such a quick response to this issue.
