MacBook Air won’t let me use Facebook live.

Hey guys! So I have been trying to use Facebook live on my new MacBook Air but I can’t. I bought a webcam thinking maybe I could use that instead and safari won’t let me use that for FB live either. What do I do?

Why does Facebook Live not work in a Safari browser? On my Mac Book Pro, when attempting to go live on facebook, it says to instead open facebook in the latest version of Chrome or Firefox in order to use the camera to broadcast. Is there truly no way for it just work in Safari (without having to download a completely other software in order to get it to work.)
