How to scan qr code with iPhone 7?

Thanks for your response. I know I have to point the camera at the code. Even Siri helped me put a bracket on my phone camera viewer, but nothing happened after I pointed the camera at the code. I took care that the code is properly illuminated and the phone was squarely on top of the code. I tried at various distance, but nothing happened. Finally I downloaded the QR reader and it's working again like it used to a month ago. It was strange that this App disappeared from my phone and I had to install it again. Also strange that despite having iPhone 7 with iOS 13.7 it wasn't working for me until I re-installed the QR reader. Again, thanks for you help.

Thanks for your suggestion! I will try that. For the moment my phone tells me my storage is too full for update. I'll try updating when I have removed some items from the storage. For the moment the issue is "solved" because I installed the QR reader from the App store and that's working. It's rather strange that I had that installed previously and even used it fairly recently, and then a few days ago when I wanted to read a QR code, that icon was no longer showing...and then I read in the Internet that my iPhone 7 at iOS 13.7 should be able to read code automatically without downloading anything. Maybe in the last update my phone decided I don't need the reader and removed it! I am always leery of updating because things might be improved but I have to hunt for what I am used to do. :)
