Purgeable space on Data Volume

I have trashed a whole bunch of files to free up space on my Macbook SSD but the Finder is not showing the available space. In Disk Utility it is showing only 11.31 "Used" but 204.8 GB of "Other Volumes". What are these other volumes and how do I free up the space. See pics below.

Try something like OmniDiskSweeper for a GUI to get a good look at itemized file size and location:

What to Know:

A. Data Volume:

Data is the volume for storing items that are not system-related.

B. Trashing Files:

As for trashing these files, you need to empty Trash. Also, I would delete iTunes items that are not needed, such as Movies and TV Shows (which are typically in the GBs).

"Purgeable space on Data Volume: I emptied the Trash after I put the files there. As you can see in the screenshots above, I'm only using 11.31 GB on the SSD, but the Data volume isn't reflecting this and it seems to be still seeing the deleted items."

Two Thoughts:

A. Try Safe Mode:

Restart the Mac in Safe Mode (Hold Down the shift key upon boot). Log in, and then restart. In Safe Mode, damages system files (i.e. caches) are fixed. So, boot into Safe Mode, wait 30 seconds, then boot up normally. Perhaps it all needs to sync.

B. Boot into Recovery Mode:

[Hold Down: command + R] upon boot. See what is shown when you view Disk Utility. Is the same shown, storage wise?
