iPad says Activation Required

All of a sudden, my older iPad has started to interrupt during my use and say "activation required". I hit that button, it goes away, and comes back "activation required". I hit the button, it comes back - over and over and over ....


Please help me solve this...step by step by step. I am not a very smart apple user.
