It sounds as though you're having issues zooming in on photos in various applications on your iPhone. When attempting to zoom in on a photo are you attempting to zoom by double-tapping on the image, or using the pinch feature? To zoom using your fingers you can tap on the image to open, then with two fingers spread apart to zoom.
