Screen Brightness

When I use my phone, sometimes the screen brightness automatically dims to such a low level that whatever I’m doing is more difficult to achieve. For example, I play Genshin Impact and I’ve noticed that the screen dims more than when I use other apps. I’ve checked and made sure that the auto-dimming “feature” is off, but my phone still does it. Is it because the app uses so much power? If not, how do I make it stop? (Though I’d really like it if the phone wasn’t designed that way).

Hello HaplessHaptics,

We see that you're having some trouble with your screen dimming. We'd be happy to assist!

Do you notice this happening with multiple apps or just specific apps?

Is your iPhone completely up to date? Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

And just to verify, if you go to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size, the Auto-Brightness setting is currently off?

If so, please enable it, restart your iPhone, and disable it once more.

Let us know if that improves things.

Cheers!
