Uninstalling Adobe CS3

I can’t uninstall my beloved Adobe CS3 which I’ve used heaps since 2008. But the latest OS update make it incompatible, and I can no longer use it. Instead I now have to pay a yearly subscription for a cloud version (not happy bout this, but that’s a tangent).

it’s now a waste of space, to uninstall will free space. The Adobe uninstalled is also incompatible, so I can’t use that to uninstall like google has told me to. B

Adobe also has a cleaning tool.

Scroll down to where you choose Windows or macOS. Download the .dmg and run the app.

i would rather not pay $150 though. :(

There's no need to do that. Not at all.

The majority of drive space taken up by CS3 are the apps themselves. Put those items from the Applications folder in the trash and you're over 90% done.

The rest are small support files and folders. Such as preference files and folders in your user account. Hurts nothing to leave them, but typically have names like Adobe Illustrator (version number) Settings. There will also be a lot of .plist files in the same folder that start with com.adobe.xxx.

Lastly, also in your user account Library folder, there's /Application Support/Adobe. If you have no other Adobe software installed, you can delete the entire Adobe subfolder.

In my original post I say that I’m on the latest version of OS.....nothing of Adobe CS3 opens.... the images all are grey with a circle an line through it.

They are all incompatible with the newest OS.

Which means I can’t do as you suggested .....which is what I found on the internet to do as well 😔.

Thanks though for a suggestion.
