To Find Out: Enter your Serial Number at this site: Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple. You'd likely find it at the back or bottom of your Mac. If it is compatible with Mavericks, then you need to upgrade to High Sierra, and then upgrade to Mavericks.

If your Mac has been stuck on Mac OS X 10.7.5 Lion for all of this time, depending on the year amd model of your Mac, there maybe no more upgrades/updates.

Oops - Having read my reply, I see got the name "Mavericks" mixed with "Mojave" - "M" for "M"

Mavericks is no longer available for download.

What mac do you have and what year is it.

Does your mac have a working operating system on it.

Mavericks 10.9 was 4 OS's before macOS High Sierra 10.13.

You cannot install High Sierra and then upgrade to Mavericks.
