Music has gone!

I have just noticed that all my music on my Mac has disappeared (I suspect since I had to re-install Big Sur, but as I generally listen via iPhone of iPad hadn't noticed).

Looking in Finder I can see all my music is still there in "Users/ianhunter/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media" and in there I have the movies, podcasts, music, etc.

In Music preferences, the file path is"Users/ianhunter/Music/Music" but the only thing in there is a couple of random voice recordings. I have tried changing the file path to the iTunes file but it makes no difference.

My iPad still has all the music on it but my iPhone synced with the Mac has nothing.

What can I do to restore the music, please. I have checked all my backups and the iTunes media folder is backed up but I can't see any other backed up music files.

There must be a way of getting the iTunes into Music but I have no idea how to do that.

Fingers crossed that someone can help.

Many thanks

Ian
