Airport Extreme Port Forwarding for Remote Web Access of NAS

I have a NAS connected to my Airport Extreme. How do I configure port forwarding to allow for web access to the NAS??

I assume that this NAS device is connected to the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) by Ethernet? Does your NAS device offer a web-based interface on port 80? Is the NAS currently assigned a static IP address?

Here are the basic steps to configure port mapping on the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn):

To setup port mapping on an AEBSn, either connect to the AEBSn's wireless network or temporarily connect directly, using an Ethernet cable, to one of the LAN port of the AEBSn, and then use the AirPort Utility, in Manual Setup, to make these settings:

1. Reserve a DHCP-provided IP address for the NAS device.
AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > AirPort > Internet > DHCP tab
o On the DHCP tab, click the "+" (Add) button to enter DHCP Reservations.
o Description: <enter the desired description of the host device>
o Reserve address by: MAC Address
o Click Continue.
o MAC Address: <enter the MAC hardware address of the NAS device>
o IPv4 Address: <enter the desired IP address that you want for the NAS device>
o Click Done.

2. Setup Port Mapping on the AEBSn.
AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > AirPort > Advanced > Port Mapping tab
o Click the "+" (Add) button
o Service: <leave the default>
o Public UDP Port(s): 80
o Public TCP Port(s): 80
o Private IP Address: <enter the Reserved DHCP IP address that you just created earlier>
o Private UDP Port(s): 80
o Private TCP Port(s): 80
o Click "Continue"

You only need to make an entry for Description to continue. None of these fields are critical.

If you mean what IP address do you access the NAS from the Internet, it would be the Public (or WAN) IP address of your Internet router. If you don't happen to know what it is, you can use the following to quickly determine it: MyWANIP
