Imovie and voice memo

I have made a movie in I've and I have a voice memo I would like to use. I can't figure out how to get it there.

Drag the voice memo from the side bar of the Voice Memo window to your desktop and from there drag it into the audio well below the timeline of an open iMovie project.

how to add voice recording in front of a voice memo file in iPhone I made a voice recording using voice memos in my iPhone but realised that I need to add some info in front of that recording. How to do that? The edit function in voice memo does not allow adding recording in front of a file. I'm also user of MacBook but not sure which software would help. Thanks.

Now I see it. Thank you for the answer. Yes, this worked. I had tried to drag it from Voice Memo directly into iMovie and it didn't work. This did.
