Importing from CD to MacBookPro gets error - please help!

Has anyone had problems importing cd's into Music on a MacBookPro? I've been doing it for years without trouble, until now. I have an external Apple USB SuperDrive, and its hooked into my laptop via the USB to "new input" converter.

I input about 12 discs/year.

Last year I had this trouble with one disc (of 12). Today I have a new 3-disc set to import. The first disc went in without problem (although the songs show double... one black and one greyed out) and the second and third discs are giving me trouble: They get half way imported and then auto eject with an error message saying the Track it was on could not be found.

Please advise!
