Netflix is not working properly. Some thing play others don’t.

Updated to 14.4 for my iPad. Now the movies I was waiting to see from Netflix are not working.

Saying that Netflix and utube are not apple products is not helpful at all. My iPad is an apple product.

Can you tell me the timeline for the fix for this?

btw, not related really but not everyone has a cellphone. I have apple products, computer and iPad.

Well, that is understandable. It would seem that However, if it a problem with the app, it could be either, even though you believe the problem to be the app or the iOS. If it is a loading problem, it may be the app, or it may be an issue with the version of Netflix. I've got someone that is trying to check for me, as I do not have a Netflix account. Of course, another issue is that we are in the US, but it should give me some idea. Alright, this person has their iPad on iPadOS14.4 and Netflix v13.13.0. They were able to open and play both of the movies that you listed. While they did not watch the entire movie on both The Dig and Bridgerton. So, I'm not sure if it has to do with being in the US or whatever, but I would ask that you take the time to contact Netflix support and see if they know about problems with iPadOS14.4.

Can you provide an example of one of the movies that is not working correctly then? Also, what does "movies I was wanted to see from Netflix are not working mean"? Describe what does not work about the movie, then someone can see if they can duplicate the issue and/or provide you with any thoughts. Are you using the Netflix app, or logging into the website? Also, what troubleshooting have you already tried.

You're welcome. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the fact you are in Canada and we are the US, but like I said the person that tested this for me did not experience any problems at all with the movies you wrote about. I still believe it wouldn't hurt for you to send a quick message to their support to see what they have to say, in case it is a copyright issue or something like that. Also, they may have a support forum that might contain a hint, especially since you report that other movies are working just fine. But, glad I could help where I did.

I held off seeing "The Dig". Really looking forward to it. I try to watch it and all I get is the spinning wheel. Other things are loading fine. I am using my iPad. This just happened after the latest update to the iPad 14.4. I tested another movie I had no interest in, "Bridgerton" and it does the same thing. Others work fine, no problems. The Crown, Penguin Bloom etc.

I just wanted to see "The Dig". It seems to be affecting more recent releases that are popular.

I have done all the troubleshooting from re-starting the wi-fi, rebooting the iPad etc etc.

Interesting, this movie played on my ancient iPad that is so old nothing can be updated. (But is got a cracked screen so I wanted to watch it on the newer iPad without the cracked screen.

I'm using the Netflix ap on the iPad that won't play it (also updated recently). I wish I had never updated the OS. It was working fine before.

Of possible note: I'm in Canada, so Netflix releases here are different from other places. I did check before I updated 10 14.4 and saw that Netflix connections had been mentioned with iPhones (which I do not have) with earlier versions of this update. The response from Apple to these problems was that Netflix and Utube were not their products so deal with them, but the problem is with the update from Apple since it started right after I updated and never happened before. I thought since those responses pre-dated this update that this problem would have been resolved so I went ahead with the update. That's probably something I just won't do in the future...

Thanks so much for trying that out and testing it for me. I have the latest versions of both Netflix and of course now the latest iPad OS. This did not happen (ever) until I upgraded the iPad OS. And the I looked at comments apparently it was an issue they were trying to iron out for the iPhone (apparently people with iPhones were having Netflix issues also). I have a feeling it's something apple has to iron out for the iPad now. I checked again this afternoon and re-booted the wifi also and it's still happening, but just to a few like "The Dig. " At this point it's just very frustrating too consider facing trying to contact Netflix. It takes hours to get through and get an answer and this was my gift to me (it was my birthday haha) 2 hours off thing for this weekend... I may just wait for them to duke it out between themselves. This back and forth between apple and Netflix, I've been there before since I cut the cable and have used Netflix for years. (I may just watch it on the old iPad and stunt through the crack... Other shows are working absolutely fine on Netflix, and the Dig was the only one I wanted to see).

Thanks. I may do that today but since it does work on the other iPad which also lived with me win Canada it's not a copywrite thing and it dopes work, just not with this update (that iPad is so old it's not got the recent updates so not is an Apple issue) so the fact that Netflix shows me this movie on the other iPad says it's Apple. Unfortunately now I noticed it has affected my ability to stream from local tv stations as well. All of those "apps" are up to date also so I think I may get in the queue to talk with apple. Again, all were working fine until the update, last night I got "unable to play" or whatever on the TV apps. It worked after I rebooted everything. It seems I am getting the issues that the iPhone folks got. And without cable that's my only avenue for viewing things. Is there a "c hat line" or something or somewhere where I can talk to Apple. I honestly just don'y have the time for all this. I honestly don't. I'm up to my ears with trying to sort government snafus regarding pensions etc and this is just one more thing I don't have time for. Any news of fixes to the update? I just wished I'd never updated. I wish they would fix it. When I read about these updates they seem quite honestly to be totally focused on phones despite the fact that apple still produces iPads.

If you use the Contact Support link at the top of the page here to contact Apple Support, there is a chat option. To be honest, I don't know if you will see an update to correct this. It has to be determined to be an iOS problem. Given that it affected you and did not affect the person I had test it, then it is a 50/50 chance that it is an iOS issue. It is for you, but I believe you can see how difficult that is to diagnose if others are not having this issue. I'm not sure why all these other movies work but the two you reported how that could be an iOS issue.

I wish you luck, but I cannot add any more to this issue to help you. I've not been able to duplicate the issue, so there really isn't any more I could do to help you.

Thanks for your help (Again to clarify once more, it works on the older iPad that was not updated but not on the one that was updated so I am certain it is the OS problem. (If it was Netflix and the the OS why does it work fine with the OS that was not updated? ). It's too busy a time for me to pursue this. I'll wait for the next update. They seem to come up with them often. I'm just weary of updates bringing more problems and not improving my "experience" with my Not phone related Mac products. It's frustrating. Thank you for your efforts.
