Purple fringing with ProRAW edits.

Up until recently, I never really took cell-phone cameras too seriously b/c they had such incredibly limited dynamic range. The iPhone 12 Pro Max with Apple ProRAW changed my mind. That said, I've noticed strange purple fringing (banding not chromatic aberration) when editing RAW images (taken on the 12 Pro Max) with the Apple Photos app. Generally, the phenomena occurs when pushing highlights. Curious, I opened the same files in Adobe Lr Mobile and the purple banding disappeared. The Apple ProRAW images were much easier to edit in Lr Mobile. Example below, shows the banding in the highlights around the sun. I should be able to push the highlights much further. In Lr this is not an issue and pushing the highlights does not induce purple banding. Once the image is saved, the banding remains. Looks subtle in this highly compressed image below, but it's actually quite pronounced. Am I missing something?

I have the same problem and it's driving me nuts. The whole purpose of ProRAW was to allow more editing headroom but exactly the opposite is happening (unless as you noted you edit ProRAW in third party apps). Currently, ProRAW is unusable in Photos. It's interesting to edit identical ProRAW hi-bit and non-ProRAW low-bit images in Photos: the low-bits turn out much cleaner. Very annoying.
