Disable Safari password suggestion

VERY annoying...opening this thread again that went unresolved... .. "ignore it and enter your own password" is not an option when you are using your own third-party password manager. When I'm trying to use 1Password and I'm trying to fill the password of my choosing, Safari butts in with it's suggestion and stops the process. It's clumsy, oafish, and presumptuous. I don't mind having Safari store my passwords in Keychain, and in fact, I want it to do so.

Hello pearlriverdeb,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you'd like to disable the feature that automatically creates a strong password for new accounts you're creating in Safari. We weren't able to find any information regarding disabling this feature specifically. All we were able to uncover is the information provided in article, Autofill your user name and password in Safari on Mac, section: Automatically create a strong password.

If you'd like to provide feedback to Apple regarding this feature, you can visit Product Feedback and submit your suggestions.

Best regards.
