APFS Formatted external drive doesn't mount

I have a band new WD Mypassport 5tb, formatted in APFS.

Since a couple of weeks it refuses to mount.

It is visible in disk utility.

The volume shows, when I click on Mount it requests my password (Triple checked it).

And doesn't mount...

Diskutil ap list tells:

So I don't believe the disk has failed, it looks like APFS is doing something wrong

And a try to repair:

diskutil apfs repairvolume disk6s1

Code

diskutil repairvolume disk6s1

Started file system repair on disk6s1 DATA-GBA-5T-A

Repairing file system

Volume is already unmounted

Performing fsck_apfs -y -x /dev/rdisk6s1

Checking the container superblock

File system check exit code is 8

Restoring the original state found as unmounted

Error: -69610: Error parsing fsck program XML format output

Underlying error: 8
