Press and hold both the Top (Sleep/Wake) and the Home buttons until the Apple logo appears - and continue to hold the buttons until the Restore screen appears on the iPad.
When the Restore screen appears, release both buttons. You may now connect your iPad to your PC (with iTunes installed) or your Mac (with iTunes or Finder - as appropriate for the installed version of macOS); your iPad should be automatically detected in Recovery mode.
If iPad still doesn’t turn on, or if it gets stuck during start up, see the Apple Support article If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t turn on or is frozen.
These instructions do not work. I can’t get the recovery screen
It doesn’t bring the restore screen up. The logo comes up then goes blank. I’ve held the buttons for over 5 minutes
