Facetime how to disable camera by default

I open facetime ONLY for audio calls with my iPhone so I want to disable my camera. I know I can put a stupid sticker on it but... why? Why on earth I have to do it if simply I don't want to use my camera but only my audio?

Do you maybe know a valid alternative to Facetime for that?

Hi isacco77,

It sounds like you're wanting to place a FaceTime audio call without opening the FaceTime app. If that's correct, and you have the person in your contacts, you can FaceTime audio call from the Contacts app.

If you do not have them in your contacts, there is not a way to do that. You can leave feedback via the following link.

Cheers.
