Sync with Phone

My iPad is not syncing correctly with my iPhone. Contacts not working correctly. Only shows numbers in texts and not names.

iPad Pro, iPadOS 14

Same Apple ID used for both, and is the usage of iCloud contacts enabled for both?

Do the contacts show when using iCloud website?
