Activity app fitness rings not syncing from watch to iPhone

For some reason, the activity rings stopped syncing from my watch to the fitness app; how do I reenable it?

I have tried airplane mode, restarting watch, etc. - it didn’t fix.

I have also looked at privacy settings and they look ok on both iPhone and iWatch.

Hello moodybaaz,

Thank you for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities with your question. We want to help get you pointed in the right direction towards the answers you need. Is your iPhone on the current iOS software? If not, make a backup of the device and update the software. Here's information on how to backup and update:

If the software is up-to-date, you may want to Restart Apple Watch and Restart your iPhone if you haven't already rebooted both. This simple step will often refresh the apps and software on the device to solve numerous problems you may encounter.

If restarting both the iPhone and Apple Watch does not correct the problem, you will next want to Unpair and erase your Apple Watch and then Set up your Apple Watch again.

Best regards!
