Can I exchange the Apple Watch wristband if the size doesn't fit?

I want to buy an Apple Watch to gift my dad.. I’m planning to take 44mm wrist size watch.. can I exchange if the size does not match ??

if so then how can I exchange?? Can you please tell me the process

Google: "apple watch band size guide" and read a few different articles about watch band sizing for the intended wrist.

There are many different band styles, so make sure the article is talking about the band you intend to buy.
