music on SD card

is drag and drop still available for external media/SD card? I can select and drag to SD card but I don't get the "green+" and the files don't drop.

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

Hi again Xtoast,

You actually wouldn't be dragging from your Music app, but rather from Finder to your external hard drive. See how to find your music files here: Change where your music files are stored on Mac.

ya I guess my problem is I don't have iTunes anymore I have "Music" what a step backwards

No, I am talking about music I have on my Mac that I own, music that I used to be able to drag to my miniSD card from my iTunes playlists and then insert that SD card into my Bluetooth speaker. Now it seems I have to go to those files in the finder and drag individual songs or albums to the SD card instead of just dragging whole playlists from iTunes like I used to.

Hi,

If you have an Apple Music subscription, you can’t copy music that you have downloaded because of DRM.
