The "restore screen" has appeared on my ipad. This occurred in the middle of the latest update. I have plugged it into my computer and reset the ipad. The same message appeared. When plugged into my computer, nothing prompts me.

Explain what you mean when you say that you reset the iPad. Are you talking about performing the forced restart - the first part of the article - and when you do that, you don’t see the option to update or restore?
