MacBook Air says not enough hard drive to install Big Sur.

I downloaded Big Sur but get a message upon installation saying there's not enough hard drive.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

Big Sur requires 35.5 GB empty drive space for download and install. So you need to move some spacehogging files such as movies, videos, photos etc to an external hard drive and delete them from your internal.
