Ok it is NOT a matter of turning off the warnings but to reset or upgrade the router according to the recommendations in the link.

If this is a public wifi then move on or use your mobile network

Perhaps this link will help...

I know the words but the implications pass me by too.

Most routers have a default factory state that is “safe” so I recommend finding out how to hard reset the router (usually involves a straightened paper clip in a hole) and reset it.

If you still get a warning consider getting a newer router from your provider.

Having a vulnerability doesn’t necessarily mean that the blue meanies will come, just that they can come.

Mine is doing the same, had an outage all night and now this comes up once it was fixed. Says “privacy warning” under my network name. I tap it for info it goes to this. I don’t understand a word of the Apple directions. I understood the word “reset” the rest, it’s in some language I don’t understand a single word of.

I should clear up that I tap the “learn more about recommended settings for wi-fi” but I’m not an engineer and they lost me pretty quickly. I’m usually not this ...incompetent but I don’t know what they’re saying. Update router, dns this, change settings here, here, and and here, reset that, we’ll throw “SSDI” in to confuse you more, fun stuff like that. Pretty sure at that point it asked me if I gave up but I had already left the page.

thank you for the fast response, I appreciate that. That’s the same link I get when I follow the one on my phone. Idk. It’s my personal network, Cox Communications router or modem or combo I don’t know what it is. A little frustrating on my end because I just don’t understand it. I’ll try again, thank so much for your time and your help. I added an explanation to my first question but I responded to myself not you. It’s one of those days already for me.
