Magic Keyboard 2 button next to 1 does not behave as expected

I have just bought a Magic Keyboard 2 (Spanish version because it's what they have in stock in my local store). The problem I am facing is that the key next to the button 1 does not generate the same hardware signal as the Macbook keyboard.

If I hit that key on the macbook keyboard I can see in the Keyboard viewer that i am actually kitting that key, but if I do the same on the new Magic Keyboard 2 I do not see any red box lighting on the keyboard viewer.

This is a problem as that key is used for lots of keyboard shortcuts, and it is for sure a bad design as the keyboard layout should be the same as it is shown in the keyboard viewer.

In conclusion I am missing that key event.

Is there any way to fix this. HELP!
